Do you take insurance?

We accept most insurance plans. 

Do you treat tick borne illness?

Yes, Martha’s Vineyard has one of the highest Lyme disease infection rates in the country—and other tick borne illnesses such as alpha-gal syndrome is now rapidly emerging as a major concern. We are industry leaders in the tick borne illness space and will apply the newest treatment solutions.

Do you test for alpha-gal?

Alpha-gal cases have skyrocketed on Martha’s Vineyard, from just nine tests ordered and two positives in 2020 to a 1,254 ordered with 523 positives in 2024. Researchers are still working to understand how alpha-gal is transmitted, its long-term effects, and the most effective treatment options. We can test for alpha-gal and if need be help you adjust your lifestyle.

Do you test for Lyme Disease?

Yes. We are the only provider on the Island with a rapid Lyme screening test, allowing you to get preliminary results while you wait.

What do I do if I find a tick on me? 

If it is attached, call us immediately. If it’s not attached and there’s no sign of a bite, remove the tick, kill it, and keep an eye out for symptoms.

How do you treat tick bites? 

We test for tick borne illness and treat with antibiotics, like doxycycline and amoxicillin.

When should I contact you if I find a tick in me? 

If you find a tick or think you’ve found a tick on you, call us immediately. We can generally schedule appointments for the same day or next. Prophylactic treatment is most effective within 72 hours. 

Should I save the tick? 

You can save the tick for identification, but you don’t have to. There are multiple types of ticks on Martha’s Vineyard. We test for tick borne illness, but knowing the kind of tick can help.

What is doxy and when should I take it? 

Doxycycline is an antibiotic that can be taken to treat Lyme.

Do you do x-rays/imaging?

We do not have onsite x-rays/imaging, however we can send orders to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital or the facility of your choice.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, walk-ins are welcome, based on availability.

Are you taking new patients?

Yes, our waitlist has been cleared, and we are now accepting new patients.

Do you see kids?

Yes, we do our best to accommodate minor urgent care needs, based on availability.

Do you do sports/school physicals?

Yes, we do sports/school physicals.

Do you draw blood?

Yes, we draw blood for our patients, which we send to a lab off island.
